Rosneft signs new agreements at St Petersburg International Economic Forum

Rosneft signed a record breaking 58 agreements (out of the 205 contracts) at the XIX St Petersburg International Economic Forum for a total sum of US$293.4 billion. Despite the external economic pressure, the contracts have expanded the previously reached agreements with Russian and foreign partners and opened new prospects for cooperation within all the companies business divisions.

Head of Total Exploration and Production Russia Jacques de Boisseson told Vedomosti that in the future Total would like to continue working with the Russian company. The newspaper reported that the final agreement on Total's withdrawal from the project was reached at a meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum last week.

Rosneft and Pirelli have signed an agreement of cooperation in marketing, according to a statement by the Russian oil company. Sanctions create favorable conditions for Russian industry – trade minister

The sanctions have multiple advantages for Russia, as they motivate companies to turn to domestically produced goods and boost the economy, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told RT. “I don’t want to sound cynical, but since I’m in charge of the real sector of the economy, in charge of the Russian industry, I can say we’ve actually benefited in more ways than one from sanctions imposed last year,” said Manturov at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum (SPIEF), adding that before the sanctions were put into effect Russian companies paid less attention to domestic products.

PVN, Gazprom agree new deal

PetroVietnam and Russian energy company Gazprom signed an agreement on major terms and conditions for developing two fields in Nagumanovskoye (Orenburg Region) and Severo-Purovskoye (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area).
